How to use the dictionary
This
dictionary is the first Kven - English dictionary ever to exist. The current
Kven dictionary (in Norwegian) lacks the in-depth view on how a word is used,
i.e. verb governance. So, our tentative writing has included the corresponding
case governance to each verb. It also combines words with Finnish origin and
those that are unique to Kven. Efforts have been made to try to find the best
and most suitable translation based on Finnish and Norwegian. Words in this
dictionary are only references, please further consult articles like the ones
on Ruijan Kaiku for in-text usage. We may with clear conscience lay claim to
any omissions or errors which remain.
